Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Christian County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Christian County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in Christian County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016, and the oldest was a 43-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Patrick D. Carey. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2011 when he was 27 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Christian County municipality.
