Received an e-mail from Rooster’s Pub requesting to close Elm Street from Main Street to the Duda Garden entrance on Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. for a Poker Run. They are requesting to do the same closure on Sunday September 15, 2019, from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. for their Anniversary Bash.
Received a letter from D & E Janitorial Service notifying the City that they will no longer extend their contract for floor stripping and waxing at City buildings. Their current contract will expire on June 12, 2019. Their last time to strip and wax the floors will be June 1st and 2nd, 2019.
Received a letter from the Staunton Lions Club, requesting to use the Fireman’s Park on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 8:00 A. M. to 1:00 P.M. for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They are also requesting to have the park rental fee waived.
VII. TREASURER’S REPORT
Investment recently cashed in at Bank of Springfield:

VIII. CITY CLERK’S REPORT
Received Economic Interest Statements from Macoupin County Clerk Pete Duncan.
Please return these forms to me by April 25th. The County is asking for them to be returned to them by May 1st.
City Hall Office will be closed on Friday, April 19, 2019, in observance of the Good
Friday holiday. All public works employees, except one water treatment plant employee, will be off that day as well. Items for the April 22, 2019 City Council Meeting agenda will need to be in on Thursday, April 18.

PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY -
Motion by Bodner, seconded by Pritchett to accept Quote #Q1274180 from Alpha Card for Double-Sided ID Card System for the police department at a cost of $2,188.00.

Prior to the next motion, Dave Volentine, owner of Rooster’s Pub, addressed the Council regarding the street closure for the Poker Run on June 2nd. He would like to see the parking lot in between Union and Elm streets blocked off from the west side of the concrete barriers closest to Union Street going over to Elm Street. Dave said they are expecting a total of around 2,000 motorcycles for this event.
Motion by Bodner, seconded by Pritchett to grant request from Rooster’s Pub to close Elm Street from Main Street to the Duda Garden entrance, as well as the parking lot in between Union and Elm Streets from the west side of the concrete barrier closest to Union Street on Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 1:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. for a Poker Run.

Alderman Pritchett informed the Council that he is seeking additional information from Madison Communications regarding their complaint reporting that was sent to the Illinois Commerce Commission. Pritchett has put in a request to Madison through City Clerk Stiegemeier seeking answers on several of their customer service issues.
An e-mail has been sent to Madison, but as of this time, no correspondence has been sent back.
