Mount Olive Community Unit School District 5 Board of Education met May 22.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Education met in the Public Hearing for the 2018-2019 Amended Budget on May 22, 2019 in the Library. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Brunnworth. Present at roll call were Brunnworth, Markezich, Remer, Osmoe, Rimar, and Skertich. Also present were Superintendent Murphy, Principal Baumberger, Secretary Butler, Olivia Ervin, Marcia Schulte, Nick Krumweide, John Hanafin, Lee Ann Skertich, Alice Adden, and Rachel Hutchins.

Principal Scheller arrived at 7:01 p.m.

Motion by Osmoe, seconded by Rimar to adopt the agenda. All Ayes. Motion carried.

New Business Conduct a Public Hearing regarding the 2018-2019 Amended Budget. Mr. Murphy stated last month that were would be two changes from the original budget. We put $40,000 more of expenses in the O&M Fund and $15,000 more in the One Cent Fund.

Motion by Skertich, seconded by Rimar to accept the 2018-2019 Amended Budget. Roll call: 5 ayes, 1 nay with 1 absent. Motion passed.

Motion by Remer, seconded by Markezich to adjourn at 7:03 p.m. All ayes. Motion carried.
