Staunton home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Staunton fell by $1,500 while total sales decreased by 19%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $63,500 - a 2.3% decrease over the $65,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Staunton in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Staunton for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,231, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
