HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Breese issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
Parents and family members who have experienced early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, neonatal death or death of a child later in life are invited to attend the 2019 Annual Evening of Remembrance Tuesday, Oct. 22, at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese. The service will be held in the hospital’s cafeteria. The commemorative service honors the memory of all children, regardless of age or time passed.
The Evening of Remembrance will begin with refreshments and light snacks at 6 p.m. with the memorial service starting at 6:30 p.m. Those interested are invited to attend the Healing Garden blessing prior to the memorial service at 5:30 p.m.
All those grieving the loss of a child are welcome to attend, including: parents, grandparents, siblings, and others in the family unit, as well as the professionals who care for grieving families. Additionally, the loss does not have to be recent and participants do not have to be patients of St. Joseph’s Hospital to attend.
To attend or to include your child or children’s names in the program, contact Melissa Pellizzaro at 618-526-5488 or Melissa.Pellizzaro@hshs.org.
