HSHS Holy Family Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.

The next “Just Walk™” Walk With a Doc program hosted by HSHS Holy Family Hospital Greenville in partnership with Greenville University is scheduled for Saturday, November 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. Tracy Hall, DO will lead the walk and discuss the importance of warming up and stretching. Walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this free program. Registration is not required, and the walking path is stroller friendly.

Additionally, with November being Home Care and Hospice Month, representatives from Home Care and Hospice will join in the walk.

Walkers are asked to meet Dr. Hall at The Crum Recreation Center, located at 401 N. Elm Street at Greenville University. Free parking is available in Lot K, which is down a block from Lot R on Elm Street. Depending on weather, walks will take place either outdoors or indoors.

Walk with a Doc is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country. Each month a different doctor will host the walk discussing a different topic. Walks are hosted at Greenville University and take place the third Saturday during odd months at 9 a.m. and the third Thursday during even months at noon.
