Motion to approve the Mayor’s appointment of Andrea Conrath to the Office of Human Resource Manager at an annual salary of $48,000.00, such appointment to be made effective upon the resignation of Human Resource Manager Blakeman; and until such resignation date, Andrea Conrath shall work and train with John Blakeman for periodic compensation based upon the aforesaid annual salary

Emergency Services –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Fire Chief Adermann to contact Fire Apparatus & Supply Team(FAST) for repairs to Tanker 1 at a cost not to exceed $5,035.00

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Fire Chief Adermann to contact Henson Robinson Company for repairs to the Fire Station roof at a cost of $16,330.00 using funds from the Maintenance line item, and Western Specialty Contractors who will be working on brick repairs at a cost of $2,975.00 using funds from the Brick Escrow Account

Motion to recommend to the City Council to direct City Attorney Romano to draft an Ordinance to increase the fee for Taxi Cab Licenses to $100.00 and continue background checks

Water/Environmental –

Motion to authorize and direct the Mayor to sign Pay Request #28 from Plocher Construction in the amount of $377,514.00 for work on the New Water Treatment Plant and forward the request to IEPA Low Interest Loan Program

for disbursement and approve payment of same pending receipt of disbursement from IEPA, this conditioned upon receipt of signed mechanics lien waivers in this amount and recommendation by the Project Engineer that the work has been satisfactorily performed

Motion to recommend to the City Council to pay Benton & Associates $25,700.01

for work performed related to the construction of the New Water Treatment Plant from September 15, 2019 through October 12, 2019

Motion to recommend to the City Council to pay Clark-Dietz in the amount of $400.00 for work performed related to the construction of the New Water Treatment Plant from September 28, 2019 through October 25, 2019

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the low bid for Liquid Aluminum Sulfate from Chemtrade Chemicals in the amount of $466.99 per dry ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the low bid for Liquid Chlorine from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $524.00 per ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the low bid for CO2 to ILMO in the amount of $343.00 per ton

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the bid for Activated Carbon from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $0.854 per lb

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the low bid for Hydrofluosilicic Acid from Brenntag Mid-South in the amount of $0.263 per lb

Motion to approve and/or ratify payment of bills ($267,698.01)
