Salem home prices rise in January 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2020 in Salem rose by $21,750 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2020, there were 15 homes sold, with a median sale price of $74,000 - a 41.6% increase over the $52,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Salem in January 2019.

The median sales tax in Salem for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,352, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for January 2020.
