Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Washington County?

There were two offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Washington County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Washington County were men. The younger parolee was a 37-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018. The other was a 41-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Travanti M. Jones. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when he was 35 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Washington County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
