PANA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL: PCH Announces Operational Changes

Pana Community Hospital issued the following announcement on April 2.

Pana Community Hospital announces the following operational changes which take effect Thursday, April 2nd. These changes are in addition to operational changes put in place in March.

● No visitors are permitted to enter the facility.

● All persons seeking to enter the hospital will be screened outside the emergency entrance. All other entrances are closed to the public. All patients entering the hospital will now be required to wear a mask.

● All direct patient care providers are now required to wear a mask, goggles, and gloves during their shifts.

Pana Community Hospital has put these changes in effect to protect our patients, staff, and community during this pandemic. To read the visitor policy and operational changes in detail, please refer to our website at www.panahospital.com.

Pana Community Hospital’s number one priority during these unprecedented times is to keep our team members, patients, and communities safe. We ask that you assist us with our efforts by staying home and leaving only when it is absolutely necessary or in the case of emergency. If you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath, please call your primary care provider for instructions before coming to the hospital or clinic. If you do not have a primary care provider and are experiencing the above symptoms, call the Christian County Health Department at 824-4113 or the Illinois Department of Public Health COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-889-3931. It is important that the public remain well informed. Please continue to seek information on the COVID-19 situation using reliable sources such as the Illinois Department of Public Health at www.dph.illinois.gov and Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov. Pana Community Hospital will continue to update our community of any additional information as it becomes available and as the situation evolves.
