Analysis: Hillsboro pays $5.56 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hillsboro Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.8 percent of the $132,255 the Hillsboro Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.56 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hillsboro contributed $112,116 to the fund, which saw a $5,499 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $20,139, or 15.2 percent, in 2018.
