Analysis: Centralia pays $5.46 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Centralia FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.5 percent of the $29,924 the Centralia FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.46 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Centralia contributed $25,292 to the fund, which saw a $2,971 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $4,632, or 15.5 percent, in 2018.
