Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Macoupin County?

There were 20 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Macoupin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that 15 men and five women were released in Macoupin County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Justin Krueger. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when he was 29 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Macoupin County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
