Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Macoupin County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Macoupin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and one woman were released in Macoupin County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 2015, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2011.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Latrell Flagg. He was convicted of homicide in 2015 when he was 17 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
