City of Breese issued the following announcement on Aug. 4.
Christmas Memorial Trees for display at the City Park are currently in production and the Lighting Committee would like to remind the community how the process works. For a one-time $100 donation (payable at City Hall) the committee will build a tree with a personalized ornament containing the name of your deceased loved one. The trees will be stored in a city warehouse and will be displayed again and again in following years. If multiple ornaments are requested for one tree there will be a $15 charge for each additional ornament.
The deadline for requests is September 1st.
So, if you are interested in having a tree made for this Christmas, please make sure your donation is received at City Hall by September 1st.
