Mt O'Live Fire Protection District responded to 29 calls in 2018 - 34.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Mt Olive included 23 fires - 11 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

In all, the department saw $195,100 in fire loss - or about $8,483 per fire.

The department also received six false calls.
