Carlinville Volunteer Fire Department responded to 84 calls in 2018 - 8.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Carlinville included 42 fires - 15 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 18 other fires.

The department also received 42 false calls, including two malicious calls and 40 other false calls.

The Carlinville Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $593,408 in 2018.
