Farina Fire Protection District responded to 24 calls in 2018 - 11.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Farina included 23 fires - 11 structure fires, five vehicle fires and seven other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $150,000 in fire loss - or about $6,522 per fire.

The Farina Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $61,959 in 2018.
