Morrisonville-Palmer VFD responds to 18 fires in 2018

Morrisonville-Palmer Volunteer Fire Department responded to 21 calls in 2018 - 23.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Morrisonville-Palmer included 18 fires - four structure fires, two vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $6,000 in fire loss - or about $333 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Morrisonville-Palmer Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $91,207 in 2018.
