HSHS ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL: Blood Drive set for April 20

HSHS St. Francis Hospital issued the following announcement on Apr. 13. 

Blood drives and donor centers are safe environments and are essential to healthcare facilities. Donors with all blood types are greatly needed as inventories continue to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other variables. 

HSHS St. Francis Hospital and Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC) are hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Bloodmobile which will be parked at the hospital, 1215 Franciscan Drive, Litchfield, IL. 

All donors MUST make an appointment, no walk-ins. To schedule a donation time, visit www.bloodcenter.org or call 800-747-5401. All donors will be required to wear a mask and present a photo ID.

All donors will receive a voucher to redeem for socks or a gift card.

A blood donor can give every eight weeks, or up to six times a year. All person’s age 17 and up (or 16 with a signed parental permission form) who weigh at least 110 lbs. and are in general good health meet the basic eligibility requirements for blood donation.
