The Fayette County Illinois Republican Central Committee has two 500-round prizes of 0.223 Winchester ammo to give away.

The GOP group announced the ammo raffle on April 26 on Facebook.

The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 5, at the Fayette County Lincoln Day Dinner.

The dinner is held annually at the Vandalia American Legion at 5 p.m., and includes food and music.

Raffle tickets for the ammunition are $10 and can be purchased by contacting Matt Hall or Joshua Morrison after work hours, or by messaging the Fayette County Republicans' Facebook page.

Winners do not need to be present at the dinner to win, but must have a valid firearm owner identification (FOID) card.

The dinner and raffle is paid for by the committee and will support the Fayette County Republican Central Committee.

According to the page, the committee provides support and news for Fayette County GOP elected officials, candidates and voters.

The committee is also hosting the 19th annual Walk Across America on Memorial Day at 1 p.m. starting at the historic Vandalia Statehouse. For more information, contact Donna Hale at 618-292-9359.
