Salem Township Hospital recently issued the following announcement.
VISITOR GUIDELINES
As we continue to make every effort to protect our patients, our staff, and our community, Salem Township Hospital has implemented New Visitor Guidelines. Starting on 9/10/21, we will be limiting the number of visitors to one per patient at any one time. For ER, Outpatient, RHC, no visitor unless it is a caregiver who is accompanying the patient. Patients under the age of 18 may have two parents. We ask that you please wash and sanitize your hands and a facial cover will be required while you are visiting. If you are sick or not feeling well, we ask that you not visit. Visitors must be healthy and will be screened upon entry.
The main front lobby entrance will remain open Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:30pm (no weekends or holidays). Outside of those hours, the emergency entrance, on the hospital’s north side, will be the only entrance to the hospital. All individuals entering the building through either entrance will be required to wear a mask and will be screened for fever and symptoms upon entry.
Salem Township Hospital appreciates everyone’s help and understanding with these temporary requests and encourage the community to follow Center for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health recommendations.
