Macoupin County Road and Bridge Committee met Oct. 5.

I. CALL TO ORDER
PRESENT: Kiel, Quarton, Acord, Harding (Remote), Heuer, Wiggins, Reinhart

II. AUDIT BILLS
1. Review and Recommend monthly claims
Claims 12825 through 12864 totaling $ 107,651.16 were read and the following motion was made:
Motion made by Quarton seconded by Acord to approve the claims and recommend payment by the full board.

IV. NEW BUSINESS
1. Resolution approving the results of the October 5th, 2021 letting of the Neff Road Bridge and recommending award of a contract to the low bidder
The Committee reviewed the results of the October 5, 2021 letting for the construction of a new bridge on Neff Road over East Fork of Otter Creek in Girard Township (Section 05-11105-00-BR). The low bidder was Yamnitz & Associates of Fieldon, IL with a bid of $ 406,528.00. This is under the engineer’s estimate of $ 417,379.00. The following motion was made:
Motion made by Acord, seconded by Wiggins to approve and recommend to the full board a resolution to accept the bids from the October 5, 2021 letting and award a contract to Yamnitz & Associates in the amount $ 406,528.00.
