Report: North Wamac School District spent $11,073 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Wamac School District 186 was up 30.4 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clinton County school district spent $8,492 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,073 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 157 to 123 students over the same period.

North Wamac's spending in 2019-20 was 23.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
