Report: Nashville School District spent $9,195 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Nashville Community Consolidated School District 49 was up 3.8 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Washington County school district spent $8,856 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,195 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 608 to 580 students over the same period.

Nashville's spending in 2019-20 was 36.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
