Report: Taylorville School District spent $8,478 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Taylorville Community Unit School District 3 was up 13.4 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Christian County school district spent $7,474 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,478 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,628 to 2,392 students over the same period.

Taylorville's spending in 2019-20 was 41.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
