The Blackburn College Men's Basketball Team learned their opponent today just before 12 noon in the upcoming NCAA Division III Tournament. The Beavers will be taking on the #1 overall seeded Titans of The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Blackburn will play at 7:15 Friday night in Oshkosh. "We are extremely excited to be headed to Oshkosh to play in the NCAA Tournament," said Head Coach Austin Kirby. "Our group has been clicking lately and it has been exciting to see," added Kirby.
Blackburn will be looking to become the first member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to win an NCAA tournament game. The Beavers lost to Illinois Wesleyan in 2003 and Hanover in 2005 in their two prior appearances.
