Rising home prices in Hillsboro in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Hillsboro rose by $36,000 while total sales increased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $85,500 - a 72.7% increase over the $49,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Hillsboro in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Hillsboro for 2019 was $1,751. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,595. This marks an increase of 9.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
