City of Carlinville City Council met June 6

City of Carlinville City Council met June 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Downey, Alderman Koller, Alderman LeVora, Alderman Link, Alderman McClain, Alderman Wagstaff, Alderman Ober, Deputy City Clerk Julie Stults, City Treasurer Jody Reichmann, Police Chief Haley, Public Works Director Dan Held, and Brian Zilm Zoning/Economic Dev/Grant Writing

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Ober to approve minutes, seconded by McClain, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills - Motion made to approve reports and bills by Alderman Koller, seconded Levora, motion passed unanimously.

Correspondence 

Carlinville Rotary Correspondence: Motion was made by Alderman Wagstaff to place correspondence on file, seconded by McClain, motion passed unanimously.

John Eldred Correspondence and Marsha Crane correspondence: Motion was made by Alderman Link to accept and place correspondence on file, seconded by Alderman Levora, motion passed unanimously.

Brent Fish Correspondence and James Krankel Correspondence: Motion was made by Alderman Koller to accept and place correspondence on file, seconded by Alderman Levora, motion passed unanimously.

Public Comment

Old Business 

IARWC Update: Alderman Downey pointed out to the council that the update was in the packet to review.

Ordinance Rezoning 512 and 516 W 2nd South Street: Motion was made by Alderman McClain to pass the ordinance for rezoning of 512 and 516 W 2nd South Street, seconded by Alderman Ober, motion passed unanimously.

New Business 

Abigail Rose Way Gold Award: Alderman Downey and Alderman link presented a Gold Award proclamation to Abigail for her mural and sensory garden at the Carlinville Primary School.

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Koller at 6:08 p.m., seconded by Wagstaff motion passed unanimously.
