City of Greenville City Council met Aug. 29.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

3.1. Public Hearing for a request from Greenville University to vacate and convey to Greenville University that part of the 16-foot-wide east to west alley lying between the west 44.71 feet of Lots 4 and 5, also known as Sassafras Alley, in the East Addition to the City of Greenville, a subdivision in the East Half of Section 10, Township 5 North, Range 3 West of the Third Principal Meridian, as recorded in Book “E”, Page 220 of the Bond County, Illinois Recorder’s Office records,

And

That part of the vacated alley being vacated in that Ordinance No. 3266, recorded in Bond County Records as Document No. 173053 on April 19, 2022, being the East Half of said alley and lying West of and adjacent to the existing alley known as Sassafras Alley, said alley being located between Lots 4 and 5 of East Addition to the Town, now City, of Greenville, Bond County, Illinois.

6. MATTERS OF COUNCIL CONSIDERATION

6.1. Consideration of Ordinance to vacate and convey to Greenville University that part of the 16-foot-wide east to west alley lying between the west 44.71 feet of Lots 4 and 5, also known as Sassafras Alley, in the East Addition to the City of Greenville, a subdivision in the East Half of Section 10, Township 5 North, Range 3 West of the Third Principal Meridian, Ordinance vacating Sassafras and conveyence

Motion to approve Ordinance to vacate and convey to Greenville University that part of the 16-foot-wide east to west alley lying between the west 44.71 feet of Lots 4 and 5, also known as Sassafras Alley, in the East Addition to the City of Greenville, a subdivision in the East Half of Section 10, Township 5 North, Range 3 West of the Third Principal Meridian,

6.2. Consideration of Intergovernmental agreement with Central Township for adding street lights along College Avenue between Idler and Dewey Street.

Motion to approve the intergovernmental agreement with Central Township.

6.3. Change to ordinance for issuance of class B liquor license. This was a typo and should have said class C. A class B license requires that fuel be sold and that is not the case with this locaiton.

Motion to ratify that the liquor license issued to Kim cruse for Munchezz is a class "c" not a class "b".

6.4. Consideration of an ordinance to amend City Code 118.20 (C), (K), and (L) Liquor License classification for the City of Greenville. This should have been done when class "A" and "B" were amended at the last meeting and was an oversight.

Motion to amend City Code 118.20 (C), (K), and (L) Liquor License classification for the City of Greenville.

6.5. Consideration of Resolution authorizing the City of Greenville to secure a loan in the amount of $2,962,098, to close the purchase of two parcels to be utilized in the Sunpin Solar lease.

Motion to approve Resolution authorizing the City of Greenville to secure a loan in the amount of $2,962,098, to close the purchase of two parcels to be utilized in the Sunpin Solar lease.

6.6. Purchase of Real Estate for infill program and purchase of real estate for general purposes.

Motion to move into executive session for Purchase of Real Estate 5ILCS 2(c)(5)

7. EXECUTIVE SESSION

Council may elect to go into executive session for:

Personnel 5ILCS 2(c)(1)

Purchase of Real Estate 5ILCS 2(c)(5)

Sale of Real Estate 5ILCS 2(c)(6)

Pending Litigation 5ILCS 2(c)(11)

7.1. Purchase of real estate for infill program

7.2. Purchase of real estate for general purposes.

8. BACK INTO OPEN SESSION

8.1. Decision on Executive Session Item(s).
