Beavers vs. Panthers: SLIAC Game of the Week

Blackburn College takes on Greenville University this Saturday. With the upcoming game holding significant playoff implications for both the Beavers and the Panthers, the SLIAC has chosen the game as the SLIAC Game of the Week.

While Greenville currently holds the advantage over Blackburn in the conference standings, Blackburn is not out of the picture just yet. The Beavers defeated the Panthers earlier this season at home, by a final score of 100-92. Blackburn can still keep their playoff hopes alive following Wednesday evening’s result with a win on Saturday.

The game will be a tough match for the Beavers, as the Panthers have been up and coming recently. After a sluggish start, Greenville managed to take down top seeded conference opponent Webster University last week. This was right after the Panthers had shocked Eureka by winning against the Red Devils by a final score of 124-116.

Blackburn is coming off of tough losses in their last two games, but have proven to be difficult matchup for Greenville, especially in their last game. Despite Greenville leading the conference in steals, Blackburn limited their turnovers against Greenville in their previous game, which ultimately led the Beavers to the win.
