Macoupin County Board Building and Grounds Committee met July 31.

I. CALL TO ORDER
PRESENT: Starr, Ibberson, Barr, Blank, Heuer, Duncan, Kahl

II. AGENDA ITEMS
1. Courthouse HVAC Update
Starr said he had requested Adam Camp from Keith Engineering about the proposal for them to handle the bid work for the project. Camp said there were different phases to the total cost for them. The total cost would be made up as a percentage of the total project, but it would be broken down into four phases: schematic design, construction documents, bid documents, and construction services. The first three are everything that would need to be done before the bidding actually happened. They also discussed pooling Melotte Morse Leonatti Architects into their agreement to handle the paperwork side of the construction work for the project as well as the historical aspect of the work on the building. Keith Engineering would provide updated numbers to reflect MMLA being part of their project and, after State's Attorney review, the Chair would sign it. The percentage agreed to in the agreement would cover all of Keith Engineering and MMLA's work for the project.
2. Old Clinic Demolition Update
Starr said he didn't have anything at this point regarding abatement costs from the architect so there was no new update yet.
3. Courthouse Security Buttons Bid
Starr said he wanted to table this topic for the time period.
