City of Centralia Veteran Affairs Committee met Oct. 19.

IV. PUBLIC COMMENT - None V. MINUTES – September 12, 2023 

A motion was made to approve the September 12, 2023, minutes by Burris and second by Mulvin. All members present unanimously voted to approve the minutes.

 VI. TREASURY REPORT – A motion was made to approve the Treasury Report by Burris and second by Ulen. All members present unanimously voted to approve the report. The group will discuss the budget and possible requests for expenditures at the next meeting. 

VII. ONGOING BUSINESS 

1. VA Informational Day – Resource Fair Planning 

Kim Enke provided a list of the service providers that will be attending and the marketing that has been done to date. It was suggested to share the fliers with the nursing homes and the members also took printed fliers to distribute as well. The number of tables needed and set up was discussed. Kim will be purchasing doughnuts from Walmart and the Legion will be providing coffee for the event. The group determined to have a registration table for the attendees and the need for table labels so the vendors know where they are to be placed. 

VIII. NEW BUSINESS 

The next meeting will have more discussion about the placement of flags to reduce the cost of damaged and missing flags. 

IX. OPEN DISCUSSION None 

X. ADJOURNMENT 

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Sensel with a second by Ulen. All members present voted in favor of adjournment and the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
