City of Greenville Lake Committee met June 24.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. ROLL CALL

Committee Members Present: Committee Person Jim Tarasuik, Committee Person Kyle Smith, Gary Trudell, Committee Person Craig Moser, and Lake Comittee Gary Zurliene

Committee Members Absent:

Staff Present: City Manager JoAnn Hollenkamp and Inspector Jeff Ketten

Public Present: Tom Cook, Brenda Korte, Curt & Jenny Griffith, Dennis & Pat Potthast, Larry Kleiner, Joe Lippert, Bridget Grotts, John H., JamesErtell, Valerie Smith, Susan Hemker, Jason Koontz, Keith Poss,Cody Kleiner, Whitney Utlaut & Travids Deblois, Dennis H., AnnSmith, Mallory F., Dan & Annita Jackson, Patty McGee, Janille DeBloris, Sharon Kleiner., James K., Debbie Dean, Tom Theiss

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

3. TEMPORARY CHAIR ASSIGNED

3.1. Because Kyle Smith's term had expired in April of 2024, the committee thought that a temporary Chair needed to be assigned for the meeting. Temporary Chair designated to be Jim Tarasuik. Hollenkamp pointed out later, confirmed by Pat S. (City Attorney) that a member of a committee maintained their spot until the vacancy is filled.

Motion by Gary Zurliene, seconded by Craig Moser

RESULT: Carried

MOVER: Gary Zurliene

SECONDER: Craig Moser

AYES: Jim Tarasuik, Kyle Smith, Craig Moser, and Gary Zurliene

NAYS: Gary Trudell

4. CITIZEN INPUT / COMMENTS CONCERNING WAKEBOARDING ON THE LAKE

4.1. Hollenkamp - showed power point presentation explaining the code confusion.

A) Meeting dated March 7, 2024.

Motion by Gary Zurliene, seconded by Craig Moser, Motion to approve the March 7, 2024 minutes.

RESULT: Carried

MOVER: Gary Zurliene

SECONDER: Craig Moser

AYES: Jim Tarasuik, Kyle Smith, Craig Moser, and Gary Zurliene

NAYS: Gary Trudell

Gary Trudell stated that he did not receive a copy of the minutes.

Hollenkamp stated that they were published along with the agenda.

5. MATTERS OF CONSIDERATION

5.1. Consideration of wakeboarding on the lake and the rules and regulations that might allow for that activity.

Motion by Craig Moser, seconded by Kyle Smith,

Jim T. - makes motion to establish a wake zone on Governor Bond Lake so the City can observe whether or not this activity or permitted devises is something that should be conducted on the City resevoir. - No 2nd motion dies

Craig Moser - makes motion for Lake Committee to move forward to develop rules for wake enhancing devices.

RESULT: Carried

AYES: Jim Tarasuik, Kyle Smith, Gary Trudell, and Craig Moser

NAYS: Gary Zurliene

6. ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Gary Zurliene, seconded by Gary Trudell, To adjourn the Lake Committee Meeting at 9:30 p.m.

RESULT: Carried
