1. Regular Meeting
A. Roll Call
The Board of Education of Wesclin Community School District # 3, Clinton and St. Clair Counties, Illinois, met in a special session on Monday, the 5th day of August 2024, at the hour of 6:04 p.m., at the Wesclin High School in said district.
At the above-named time and place there were present the following officers and members of the Board:

A quorum of the Board members being present, the current president called the meeting to order and declared the Board to be in session for the transaction of business.

Motion by Tina Litteken seconded by _Connie Elmore to approve the amended agenda as presented.

Items Requiring Board of Education Action
A. Food Service Contract
Motion by Tina Litteken_ seconded by _Dustin Biggs to approve entering into a contract with Sodexo to provide food service for the 2024-2025 school year.
Vote: Dustin Biggs-aye, Connie Elmore-aye, Tina Litteken-aye, Jeff Stroot-aye, Krystal Schmitt-aye. Motion passes 5-0
B. Breakfast and Lunch Prices
2023-2024 Revenue - $573, 223 (additional $84,729 of COVID/Supply Chain money) 2023-2024 Contract Expense - $539,391

We must increase prices by $0.10 each per the USDA Paid Lunch Equity Program.
Motion by _Tina Litteken_ seconded by __Connie Elmore to increase Breakfast price to $1.75 for K-4, $1.85 for 5- 12, Lunch to $2.75 for K-4, $2.90 for 5-12.

C. HVAC Unit Replacement
Mrs. Barton's HVAC unit went out in her classroom at Trenton Elementary, and the recommendation was to replace it rather than repair it as it was 25 years old. The District received pricing for 2.5 tons units that could be installed prior to the first day of school.

Luxaire- $6,500.00
Arcoaire- $6,600.00
Motion by _Dustin Biggs_ seconded by _Connie Elmore_ to approve Albers Heating and Air Conditioning install the Luxaire Unit for $6,500.00

D. Consent Agenda
a. Employment:
i. Matt Long-We are recommending Mr. Long as an RTI Teacher at Wesclin Middle School.
ii. Jennifer Walker- We are recommending Mrs. Walker as a paraprofessional in the District.
Motion by Connie Elmore seconded by _Dustin Biggs to approve the consent agenda as presented.
