Q3: Cities within Marion County recorded 19 lawyers in good standing

There were 19 lawyers in good standing in cities within Marion County as of the third quarter of 2024, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

The number of lawyers remained the same from the previous quarter.

Countywide, the largest number of active lawyers in good standing were found in the city of Centralia (11).

Lawyers in good standing do not have any complaints or disciplinary actions being taken against them.

A 2023 study found Illinois had the fourth-highest number of lawyers per capita in the United States, with nearly five lawyers per 1,000 residents.

As of June 2024, the average salary for a lawyer in Illinois averages $104,889 annually, which is fairly close to the national average.

Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this period.
