FOIA Request to City of Benld Regarding Building Permits on October 30, 2024.

In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at South Central Reporter have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of Benld. The request, dated October 30, 2024, seeks access to specific records pertaining to residential and commercial building permits issued within the city from January 1, 2023 till the present date.

The requested data includes details such as the type of permit issued, date of issuance, fee paid for the permit, name of the requester, address where the permit is applicable and the contractor's name. This information is crucial in understanding the nature and extent of construction activities within the city.

In addition to this, we have also sought information about all active residential and commercial building permits along with their current status. This will provide a clear picture about ongoing construction projects within the city limits.

We have therefore requested a fee waiver for this information as per provisions available for media professionals under FOIA.
