City of Litchfield Tourism Advisory Committee met April 22.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Nancy Hyam, Chairperson, Brooke Steinmann, Vice Chairperson, Jean Elmore, Steve Bryant, Matt Vaughn, Carol Sneed and Dillon Clark as proxy for Lauren Plummer.

Members Absent: Debbie Sneed-Short

Guests Present:

City Representatives Present: Tourism Coordinator Stacie Peecher

The meeting was called to order.

Approval of Minutes: Minutes from the March 18, 2025, meeting were presented. Brooke Steinmann made a motion to approve the minutes; seconded by Carol Sneed.

Tourism Office Report: Stacie Peecher reported on the pickers market preparations – mugs, t-shirts and Mother’s Day trinkets have been ordered, the music lineup is almost complete (need a performer for the morning of September 8), and the arts and crafts section is almost full. She mentioned that she still needs a few volunteers.

Chamber announcement: Dillon Clark reported that the Art in the Park is ready for a May 4. Food vendors will be onsite and the event is planned to run from 12-5 p.m.

Hotel update: Nancy Hyam reported that a motorcycle group from Ohio arrived in town on their Route 66 tour.
