Macoupin County Board Road and Bridge Committee met May 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Bernie Kiel, Gordon Heuer, Ross Adden, Todd Armour, Leann Barr, MollyRosentreter, and Tony Wiggins

Members Absent:

Officials and Department Heads Present: Tom Reinhart and Aaron Coe

1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.

1.1 Roll Call

There were 7 members present.

2. Audit Bills

2.1 Review and Recommend monthly claims

Claims 1013 through 1054 totaling $ 120,952.68 were read andthe following motion made:

Motion to approve the claims and recommend payment tothe full Board.

Seconded by: Ross Adden

Carried

3. Resolutions

4. 50/50 Petitions

The following 50/50 project petitions were presented:

Project                 Estimate          County Share

Brighton #15        $ 20,000.00     $ 10,000.00

Dorchester #39        6,000.00           3,000.00

The County’s obligation for the projects will be the “County Share” only.

Motion to recommend to the full Board.

Rosentreter asked about the status of an employee. Chairman Kiel reminded the committee that personnel issues should be discussed in executive session and there is no executive session on the agenda today.

7. Discussion 

7.1 County Subdivision Ordinance 

The Committee discussed the updating of the county’s subdivision ordinance. Chairman Kiel stated that there was a meeting with Coe, Reinhart, Heuer, and Clerk Duncan. Coe will take the lead on subdivisions going forward and be the point man for the subdivision update. All agreed the subdivision ordinance did not need a total rewrite. 

The Committee agreed to contact Assistant States Attorney Kyle Frericks to request his assistance in providing the appropriate language for the ordinance.

The meeting adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
