City of Carlinville City Council met June 2.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Ober, Alderman Wagstaff, Alderman Brockmeier, Alderman Link, Alderman Reichmann, Alderman Gracey, Alderman Reese, Alderman LeVora, Mayor Downey, City Clerk Mary Heller, Budget/Treasurer Linda Boente, City Attorneys Don and Joe Craven, and Chief Derek Graham

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made to approve both sets of minutes by Alderman Ober, seconded by Alderman Wagstaff, motion passed unanimously. 8-0

Approval of Bills - Motion was made to approve bills by Alderman LeVora, seconded by Alderman Reese, motion passed unanimously. 8-0

Correspondence

Planters – A letter was sent to the Mayor and City Council Members from Bill and Dick McClain regarding the removal of the planters on the square.

Public Comment – Dick McClain spoke about the removal of the planters on the square. Old Business -NONE

New Business

Approval of Bids to Demo 516 Anderson – Motion was made to accept Demuzio Excavating, INC. bid for $3650.00 for the demolition, site clearing, foundation removal, grading and drainage, and site restoration of 516 Anderson Street by Alderman Link, seconded by Alderman LeVora, motion passed unanimously. 8-0

Approval of New Audio System for Council Chambers – Motion was made to accept the bid from Illini Tech for $10,997 for a new Audio System to live stream meetings in the council chambers by Alderman Reichmann, seconded by Alderman Wagstaff, motion did not pass. 2-6

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman LeVora at 6:12 p.m., seconded by Alderman Ober, motion passed unanimously. 8-0
