Mt. Olive Community Unit School District 5 Board of Education met Oct. 15.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

I. Call to Order

II. Consent Agenda - One Motion Needed

Adoption of Agenda.

Approve minutes of the Public Hearing for the Budget and Regular Board Meeting on September 17, 2025.

III. Recognition, comments, and correspondence from employees and public.

The dishwasher in the cafeteria is up and running again thanks to Mr. Grider.

Recognizing Academic Foundation Mini-educational grants for teachers.

Thank you to Bryce Tooley for painting and moving the bike rack to the elementary end of the building.

IV. Consider approving the bills and the financial report.

Informational Items

a. Appreciation note from Ms. Linda Percell about the class tour given by Mr. Martin.

b. The ISBE annual School Report card information will be released this month and posted on the District Website.

IX. Consider a motion to enter Closed Session for the following purposes as allowed under the Illinois Open Meeting Act (5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.):

Discussion of the appointment, employment and dismissal of employees of the public body and collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representative.

x. Consider a Motion to come out of Closed session

Consider a motion to approve personnel as discussed in closed session.

xi. Adjourn

The next regular board meeting will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday November 19, 2025. The meeting will be held  in the library at 804 West Main Street, Mt. Olive, Illinois.
