Analysis: Greenville pays $4.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Greenville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.5 percent of the $272,806 the Greenville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Greenville contributed $219,647 to the fund, which saw a $71,460 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $53,160, or 19.5 percent, in 2016.
