Analysis: Hillsboro pays $4.81 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hillsboro Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.8 percent of the $218,511 the Hillsboro Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.81 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hillsboro contributed $180,966 to the fund, which saw a $22,940 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $37,545, or 17.2 percent, in 2016.
