Analysis: Pana pays $4.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Pana Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $327,705 the Pana Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Pana contributed $271,737 to the fund, which saw a $14,483 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $55,968, or 17.1 percent, in 2016.
