Analysis: Staunton pays $5.06 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Staunton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.5 percent of the $166,270 the Staunton Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.06 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Staunton contributed $138,856 to the fund, which saw a $7,628 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $27,414, or 16.5 percent, in 2016.
