Report: Odin spent $8,582 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Odin Public School District 722 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Marion County school district spent $9,087 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,582 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 326 to 276.

Odin's spending in 2016-17 was 34 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
