Report: Bond County spent $8,685 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Bond County Community Unit School District No. 2 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bond County school district spent $8,730 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,685 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2004 to 1840.

Bond County's spending in 2016-17 was 33 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
