Morrisonville-Palmer VFD responds to 12 fires in 2017

Morrisonville-Palmer Volunteer Fire Department responded to 13 calls in 2017 - 31.6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Morrisonville-Palmer included 12 fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $10,000 in fire loss - or about $833 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Morrisonville-Palmer Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $94,462 in 2017.
