Pana Fire Dept responded to 78 calls in 2017 - 11.4 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pana Fire Dept included 51 fires - 32 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $928,851 in fire loss - or about $18,213 per fire.

The department also received 27 false calls.

The calls resulted in three civilian fire-related injuries and three civilian fire-related deaths. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
