St Rose Fire Protection District responded to four calls in 2017 - 33.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in St Rose included four fires - three vehicle fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $22,000 in fire loss - or about $5,500 per fire.
